Raindrop Technique STEP 9: Apply Aroma Siez to the back
The Aroma Siez blend contains several highly antispasmodic essential oils that help relax sore, tense, or inflamed muscles. Apply at least 6-8 drops of Aroma Siez over the entire length of each side of the spine. Feather in the blend as in Step 8, then, using circular motions with the flat of the hands, gently massage into the back muscles. Include the areas along the outer edges of the rib cage and shoulders that have not been previously worked.

Raindrop Technique STEP 10: Massage entire back and neck with a quality vegetable or massage oil, finishing with palm rub
This application helps to seal in the essential oils, enhancing penetration.
o Put 12-20 drops (depending on the size of the back) of V6 Oil Complex or massage oil, in your palm to warm the oil before spreading onto the muscles of the entire back and back of the neck. Use a gentle massage to evenly spread the massage oil.
o Place both hands on the receiver's back, palms down, near the base of the spine, one hand close to you, one hand on the far side of the back. Then slide the palms, with mild downward pressure, in opposite directions from the far side of the back to the near side, working slowly up the back toward the neck. Continue this alternating back and forth massage up to the nape of the neck. Do this massage up and down the back three times.

Raindrop Technique STEP 11: Apply Valor to the spine
Apply 6-10 drops of Valor, raindrop-style, along the center of the spine, from the sacrum to the atlas. Feather in the blend as in step 8. Gently massage into the spine and spinal muscles using circular motions with the flats of your hands, moving from the sacrum to the atlas. Repeat two more times.

Raindrop Technique STEP 12: Apply moist warm towel; perform back press


Soak one of the towels in warm water, wring it out, fold it in thirds, and lay it along the entire length of the spine.
Place the other dry towel (folded in half) over the wet towel.
Allow the heat from the wet towel to penetrate, usually about 8-10 minutes. If the heat fades before 8 minutes are up, it may be helpful to apply the warm moist towel a second time.
Pay very close attention to the recipient's comfort. Ask questions.
After the warmth of the oils has subsided (from 8-15 minutes), with the towels still in place, perform the back press by crossing the hands and placing them 1-2 inches apart at the base of the back. Gently press the hands down and away from each other, vibrating the hands and spreading them slightly. Repeat this process of pressing, vibrating and spreading the hands 3-5 times, each time starting further up the spine, until reaching the top of the spine . Repeat this step two more times.
Raindrop Technique STEP 13: Remove towels and inspect spine


Remove the towels. Make sure the person is lying with their head snug in the head cradle of the massage table and with their spine straight (hips aligned with shoulders).
Check the spine. Corrections may or may not be visible. Results may take several days to take full effect. You may need to perform another technique at a later time.
Raindrop Technique STEP 14: Gently stretch the back and neck
Have the recipient turn over onto their back. Be careful to keep the receiver covered to protect modesty. If you are working alone, hold the ankles firmly and apply light pressure to stretch the back. If there is a second facilitator, they should hold the ankles while you cradle the individual's head in your hands, place your thumbs around the chin, and gently lift and ease back to create slight tension. Hold for 3 seconds, then release for 3 seconds. Repeat three times. Best results are achieved when two people perform this stretching step: one gently tensioning the neck while the other holds the legs. If there is only one facilitator, this step can be done in two sequential steps-ankles first, then neck.

Raindrop Technique STEP 14A: Finger placement for cranial hold
Place both hands under the recipient's neck, with the fingers touching each other and the thumbs just below the jaw.

Raindrop Technique STEP 14B: Basic cranial hold
Gently pull the recipient's head back from the torso using the cranial hold. Pull back gently for 3 seconds, then release for 3 seconds. Repeat this cycle slowly and gently three times. Check with the recipient during this process to verify that they are not experiencing any pain. If there is pain, immediately discontinue the stretch.

Raindrop Technique STEP 14C: Modified cranial hold
This is an alternate version of the cranial hold, which differs in the hand placement on the receiver's head. Hold the recipient's head with one hand under the neck, palm up, and the other hand cradling the receiver's chin. Gently create tension in the neck by slowly pulling the head away from the torso. Hold for 5 seconds, then release for 5 seconds. Repeat two more times. Do not pull too hard. An assistant, if available, can anchor the feet while you gently tension the neck.

Raindrop Technique STEP 15: Neck Flex


Kneel or sit so that your shoulders are parallel to the recipient's shoulders.
Cross your arms and place your hands (palm side down) on the recipient's shoulders (left hand on the right shoulder and visa versa).
Make sure the recipient's tongue is not between their teeth.
Raise your elbows in order to gently lift and stretch the recipient's neck until their chin touches the chest.
Repeat this step two more times.
For optimum results, the recipient should drink extra purified or distilled water for the first few days following Raindrop Technique. This will aid the body in flushing toxins from the tissues.
